Eliza Morgan Residence Hall

Lund-Ross served as the Construction Manager at Risk for the renovation of the 45,000-square-foot Eliza Morgan Residence Hall on the Peru State College (Peru) campus. The women’s dorm was built in 1929, and additional wings were added in 1959 and 1960.
Crews gutted the majority of the basement and three upper floors, and a new elevator and stair tower was constructed on the back on the building. The dorm received its first complete heating and cooling system, its first complete fire sprinkler system, new plumbing and electrical systems, and new energy efficient windows.
On the ground floor, the resident advisor apartment was renovated and modernized, and an existing parlor was converted into a conference room. The basement game area was renovated, and a new workout room was built for students. Fifty new dorm rooms were built by Lund-Ross throughout the building.
As the renovation neared completion, college officials decided to improve the grounds surrounding the dorm. Lund-Ross applied project cost savings improve the look and increase the use of the courtyard connecting Eliza Morgan to the PSC Student Center.
