Live-and-Work Townhomes
CLIENT: NeighborWorks Omaha
LOCATION: Omaha, NE
ARCHITECT: The Architectural Offices
Lund-Ross built a set of townhomes for NeighborWorks Omaha in North Omaha’s Long School neighborhood. The new Live-and-Work Townhomes were developed by NeighborWorks and the North Omaha Development Project to help promote commercial and residential growth along the historic North 24th Street corridor.
Ten adjoining homes were built by Lund-Ross on a vacant lot. The three-story townhomes have commercial work space on the ground floor and living space on the upper levels. Every 1,590-square-foot townhome features three bedrooms, two baths, and a private two-car garage.
NeighborWorks Omaha (formerly the New Community Development Corporation) provides economic and community development services throughout Omaha. Lund-Ross previously partnered with NeighborWorks on two other affordable housing developments in the North Omaha community.
Lund-Ross completed the new Live-and-Work Townhomes on time and within budget in September 2009. A grand opening celebration with ribbon cuttings and home tours was hosted by NeighborWorks for residents, city officials, and local leaders.
