Lund-Ross served as the Construction Manager at Risk for the historic renovation of the Fairbanks Building in Omaha. Located in the Old Market District, the building last housed the popular Antiquarium bookstore from 1974 to 2007.
Lund-Ross salvaged original brick, plaster, and beadboard ceilings from the Fairbanks Building for restoration, and the original façade was tuck-pointed and cleaned. New infrastructure systems, a new elevator, and new windows were installed throughout the building, and all staircases were rebuilt. Twelve market-rate apartments were constructed on the upper levels, and commercial bays were built on the ground floor.
The team completed the historic renovation in 10 months on schedule to allow the Fairbanks Apartments tenants to begin occupancy in February 2014. Lund-Ross returned to complete the build out of the Harney Street Tavern in the basement of the Fairbanks Building in March 2014.
