DiVentures Scuba and Swim Center
CLIENT: DiVentures
LOCATION: Omaha, NE
ARCHITECT: Alley Poyner Macchietto
Lund-Ross built the new DiVentures Scuba and Swim Center in southwest Omaha. The state-of-the-art facility is the first of its kind in Omaha, and is the largest scuba and swim center in the U.S.
The 12,000-square-foot building houses an indoor swim center and training facility. The custom-designed DiVentures pool features a 14-foot deep end for scuba and snorkel classes, a shallow end for water aerobics and physical therapy, and lap swimming lanes. Locker rooms and a lounge space overlooking the swim center were also constructed.
Lund-Ross built a 2,300-square-foot space in the facility to house the DiVentures retail store, travel services, a full-service equipment and repair department, and classrooms.
Lund-Ross broke ground on the DiVentures facility in September 2009, and the scuba and swim center was finished on time in eight months.
