Work Starts on Open Door Mission Project
Lund-Ross to Build New Permanent Supportive Housing Facility

Omaha, Neb., July 13, 2010 – Lund-Ross Constructors joined the Open Door Mission, local dignitaries and community members at the groundbreaking of the Open Door Mission’s latest project. The new Permanent Supportive Housing facility will provide safe and affordable housing for men, women and families who may benefit from living in a stable environment for an extended period of time.
Lund-Ross Constructors is leading the construction of the new facility near downtown Omaha. The 60,000 square-foot, wood-framed building will house 41 units, multiple community rooms, classrooms and administrative space. Lund-Ross is scheduled to complete the Permanent Supportive Housing facility in May 2011.
The Permanent Supportive Housing program is one of the Open Door Mission’s many long-term recovery programs that address the causes of homelessness. The Open Door Mission provides basic needs for over 400 men, women and children every day.
The Permanent Supportive Housing facility is the second phase of construction to be completed by Lund-Ross for the Open Door Mission. Lund-Ross finished the new Lydia House for Women & Families in late 2009.
