UNK Centennial Towers West and East

Lund-Ross served as the general contractor for the renovation of the Centennial Towers West and East dormitories on the University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) campus. The dorms were built in 1967 and can each house more than 400 students. The seven-story towers are the tallest buildings in Kearney.

The renovation of the west tower was completed during Phase I. Lund-Ross began construction after asbestos removal was completed by UNK in early summer 2012. The building received an extensive infrastructure update with new mechanical, HVAC, and fire sprinkler upgrades. Lund-Ross renovated the first floor and study areas, and crews installed new windows, new carpet, and new paint throughout the building. The renovation of Centennial Towers West was completed by Lund-Ross on schedule in June 2013.

Phase II began after the completion of the west tower in summer 2013. Similar to Phase I, the project scope included the complete renovation of the seven-story dorm. Lund-Ross completed the renovation of Centennial Towers East ahead of schedule in April 2014.
