“Lund-Ross was absolutely fantastic to work with. It was a difficult project, and it all was pulled off with very little hassle, primarily due to your staff’s hard work and obvious commitment to the job at hand.”

Saddle Creek Records & Film Streams

Lund-Ross built the new Saddle Creek Records development just north of downtown Omaha. The site encompasses two buildings and approximately 60,000 square feet.

The development has an industrial look with open ceilings and sealed concrete floors. The south building includes offices for Saddle Creek Records, the record label’s distribution warehouse, and the Slowdown, a music venue managed by the Saddle Creek. Film Streams, a two-screen cinema theater, and two live/work units are also housed in the south building.

Commercial bays for clothing retailers American Apparel and Urban Outfitters – downtown Omaha’s first national retailers in over 20 years – and a local coffee bar were built in the north building. Crews constructed two custom condominiums and seven apartments on the upper floors of the north building. The loft-style units feature open floor plans, sealed concrete floors, sliding warehouse doors, and balconies.

Lund-Ross finished the Saddle Creek Records development in the summer of 2007. The project was honored with a 2008 Excellence in Construction Award from Associated Builders and Contractors and was featured in national publications like the New York Times, Esquire, and the Wall Street Journal.
