Fairbanks Apartments

Lund-Ross led a full-scale renovation of the historic Fairbanks Building in Omaha. Located in the Old Market District, the popular Antiquarium bookstore last inhabited the Fairbanks Building from 1974 to 2007.

Crews start demolition work in the Fairbanks Building in April 2013. Lund-Ross salvaged original brick, plaster, and beadboard ceilings from the four-story structure for restoration. New infrastructure systems, a new elevator, and new windows were installed, and the building’s staircases were rebuilt. Commercial bays were constructed on the ground level, and 12 market-rate apartments were built on the upper levels. The historic façade was tuck-pointed and cleaned. Lund-Ross completed the historic renovation of the Fairbanks Building in 10 months.
